People Director (previously HR Director until we renamed the team last year from HR to “People”)
responsibilities
The People team have been busy this year so far with supporting Compass’ growth with new and existing services. We are also working on a number of items linked to becoming employer of choice such as review of benefits and pay, how we recruit great staff and how we retain them. We are also looking at an improved HR system that should be easier for all to use and help us get better management information on our workforce.
experience
I’ve worked in HR for around 25 years across a few different sectors – manufacturing, financial services and private healthcare before coming to Compass about 10 years ago.

I live in West Yorkshire with my husband Karl and my little dog, Bernard. I love being in the great outdoors and have enjoyed hiking for many years. More recently I have taken up bird watching and then wildlife photography which I am absolutely loving! I really appreciate feeling connected to nature – it’s a great way of practising mindfulness and rebalancing your senses.
