This year saw a number of Compass Changing Lives’ staff graduate from their courses at the University of Derby to become fully qualified Supervising Practitioners, Educational Mental Health Practitioners, and HI-CBT practitioners.
Compass Changing Lives is committed to helping their employees fulfil their utmost potential. This means they offer development opportunities for staff to progress their career and gain new qualifications, teaming up with the University of Derby and the University of Northampton to do so.
Some of the recent graduates had already qualified as practitioners in academic years past, and alongside upskilling themselves, they are developing more ways to help the children, young people, and families they work with.
The graduates were a diverse group, with a wide range of ages and backgrounds. Some were at the beginning of their careers, fresh out of college, and many were requalifying after careers in public health or education. All of them worked incredibly hard to earn their qualifications.
Though they asked to not include specific names or details, some practitioners wrote privately to share their inspiring stories, and the adversities they overcame to get where they are today. These included stories of studying alongside parenting, and through pregnancy. Stories of recovering from personal illnesses, and additional caring for their families. All were a credit to the integrity, resilience, and dedication of the practitioners at Changing Lives.
Compass Changing Lives wants to extend a hearty congratulations to all of our colleagues that graduated in 2024! You deserve it!
