#maywemovetogether

may we move together for mental health

Compass Changing Lives are creating awareness around the importance of how being physically active can help your mental health. Join our campaign to get active to boost your mood and put an extra spring in your step!

It is well documented that there are strong links between regular physical activity and positive mental health. Exercise keeps you stimulated and alert, reduces stress levels and equips you to positively deal with any demanding situation. It is listed by experts as one of the 5 Ways to Wellbeing.

There are also many physical health benefits, including lower rates of cardiovascular disease, a lower chance of getting Type 2 diabetes, and more.

Physical activity guidelines

Children and young people (5-18 years)
60 minutes per day across the week.
Adults (19+ years)
150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise per week
or 75 minutes of vigorous intensity exercise per week.

Join our challenge throughout May to increase your steps, get active and experience fun new sports and activities to help you feel FANTASTIC, build confidence and take control of your day!

Activity Tracker

Fill in our activity tracker throughout your movement journey in May. Each day, keep track of what you’re doing, and how it’s making you feel. At the end of the month, compare how you felt at the start. We think you will be pleasantly surprised!

Moving Together

You’re not going to be alone! Staff from Compass Changing Lives will be joining you, sharing their own exercise stories, and telling you how it helps them. These stories will be shared on social media all month, so make sure to follow us on there to see what we’re up to!

Want to see what we did last year? We have a whole story on #maywemovetogether 2024, that you can read right here.
